    Emphasizing on the moral side in arbitration
     
    A Public lecture on International Arbitration Duties at the Chamber
     
     

    Asharqia Chamber conducted an open lecture entitled (Moral and Legal Duties of International Arbitrator) Saturday, 16/4/201 presented by the International Arbitrator Dr.Sharaf Al-Din Ahmad.

    Lecture was held at the Chamber's Jazeerah Hall  in which Sharaf Al-Din will presented several duties in light of regulations and international legislation for the International Chamber of Commerce and World Trade Organization and the laws of international arbitration and moral duties and Islamic rules.

    Throughout the lecture; the International arbitrator Dr. Ahmed Sharaf Al-Din stressed on the importance of the moral aspect in the process of arbitration in commercial disputes, stressing on many moral standards in the arbitration process, the most prominent of fairness, neutrality and independence.
    Sharaf Al-Din said during a lecture, if we would sum up arbitration  it is simply (an agreement, procedures, decision).
     
    Stressing on a number of duties that should be available in the arbitrator, such as independence, and commitment to disclose in its relations with the parties in arbitration, and to continue in this process of disclosure for the whole period of the arbitration, also justice and equality with the opponents, and a stick to confidentiality in terms of the debate.
     
    Dr. Sharaf is a professor of Faculty of Law, in Ain Shams University of Egypt, and a former professor at Kuwait University in the Faculty of Law, a legal adviser to a number of Arab institutions, served as an arbitrator in some Arabic and international  institutions.
